I woke up on Thursday May 25th, 2017 to another beautiful day. Just like normal, I put on some Bethel worship and started out my day with a spiritual breakfast in His Word. I haven’t always had quiet mornings for reading, I’m a mother of 3 kids under 7, so it’s a treat when I can start my day with my heart focused and full.
As caretakers, we must first be cared for. Anyways, I was randomly flipping through my Bible and reading whatever popped out at me (I recommend a plan but I’m adventurous, haha). And here every verse I came across was about abiding, dwelling under His shadow or being covered by His wings and His feathers. Neat! I can feel Him leading up to a point, Holy Spirit just highlighting every word. So I get really excited and start playing around and boom, another verse on wings and feathers. As you can see, more than anything, I get really excited when I’m getting taught on a new subject by Holy Spirit. He’s a wonderful teacher.
So the kids wake up and I open my closet to change for the day, and out floats a white feather. Huh. Neat! I get dressed and go to open the living room windows for some morning light and outside the window on the ground in plain view is a big feather with a beautiful pattern and tones. I couldn’t NOT see it. Haha, now its getting fun. My heart is just thrilled at how my Father invests in me at this point. So I go get the feather of course, and like every morning, my husband Ron pulls up from working all through the night. We greet him, and once the children all settle down from excitement, I begin describing how my morning has gone so far. Upon telling him, he responds “That’s funny cause when I was at work about to get into my car and come home, a bird swooped down so close it almost hit me in the head!”. I’m laughing, but at the same time I’m counting that a third sign. Haha, yes, a bird almost hitting my husband in the head is a sign from God to me! Hahaha… I know He has a sense of humor. God knows he’s tired, how else would He get his attention?!
So I go on with my morning, just pondering and meditating on these things… and I began getting some vision flashes. I sketched them out and planned to create some prophetic photography portraits, but time passed and I set it aside for a bit. Now it’s been on my heart recently and I decided to go ahead and create them. For this one, the Holy Spirit inspired me to use the actual feather in them, so I did. Upon attempting a few shots, I realized the stripe patterns lined up perfectly with my eyebrow and eyelashes! I love Him, He is so much fun. So I finished my first out of a “collection” I am creating, and I thought I’d post this one.
SO, what is Daddy saying with these things? In my heart this is what I hear:
“Beloved, I am your resting place. Be with me, in my presence, and you will be overwhelmed by the peace & security you will find here in Me. I am your source, everything you need. Stay in my presence, in intimacy, in My Love and in my Word. Put your trust in Me. When you put your hope in Me, you will not be disappointed. Put your trust in hope in Me, not this world or man, or even your own strength and abilities. When you hope in man and in your own strength and abilities, there will be striving and you will exert yourself. Stay under my wings, where there is no striving, only rest. Remember, I created everything as a mirroring image of my ways and my character. Remember when birds fly in sync, they do this to preserve their energy on their long journeys. Catch the wind. Stay under my wing.”
I hear Him speaking about intimacy, rest, alignment, security, trust and protection.
Here I will post the verses I read. Do you have a favorite verse on His wings? Enjoy & please comment or message me if you’d like to talk need prayer.
With Love, Abbie.
1 Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.”
3 Surely he will save you
from the fowler’s snare
and from the deadly pestilence.
4 He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
5 You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,
6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at midday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
8 You will only observe with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.
9 If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,”
and you make the Most High your dwelling,
10 no harm will overtake you,
no disaster will come near your tent.
11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways;
12 they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread on the lion and the cobra;
you will trample the great lion and the serpent.
14 “Because he[b] loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
15 He will call on me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him
and show him my salvation.”
But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.
Keep me as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings
How precious is your steadfast love, O God! The children of mankind take refuge in the shadow of your wings.
